Sarah Kwong is a Chinese-English writer currently living in Scotland. She was previously based in Hong Kong and, before that, London.

She mainly writes essays and prose poetry about identity, belonging, and culture. Her writing has appeared in a variety of print and online publications.

Sarah writes a monthly Substack newsletter about memory, food, language, and place called Pomelo Skin.

 

She also founded being, a monthly zine (print & digital) encouraging slow living. It was distributed in independent businesses around Hong Kong and, later, Edinburgh. The last issue was published in March 2023. All issues can be found in digital format here.

 

She has recently completed a master's degree in Creative Writing.
